Situated on Gran Vía, the main commercial and entertainment street in the heart of Madrid, the hotel, within walking distance of the most important areas and cultural monuments, offers free minibar and Wi-Fi access among other services.

Nearby you will find the Coliseum, Gran Vía and Lope de Vega theatres, the Puerta del Sol and the Royal Palace. You can find the Metro and various buses by the entrance of the hotel, enabling you to reach other parts of the city quickly.

After a day in Madrid you can return to the hotel's health and beauty centre and enjoy a relaxing massage or sauna, before heading to the hotel restaurant for a meal.
In addition, the bedrooms are all soundproofed so you need not worry about your sleep being disturbed. Spacious family rooms are available.

Hotel information

A health and beauty centre, Acquaplaya, is located on the hotel’s second floor (entry fees apply). Here you can work up a sweat in the gym, Turkish bath or sauna, before cooling off in the thermal swimming pool, cold water plunge pool, jacuzzi, or ice grotto. You will also find a relaxing Indo-Roman bath, relaxation area and fruit bath. You can also indulge in a number of health and beauty treatments, such as massages, waxing, mudpacks, seaweed therapy and UVA ray treatments.

The spa centre is open from 12.00 until 22.00. On Sundays the swimming pool is open from 12.00 until 18.00, and the treatment area is closed all day. The swimming pool area is closed on Mondays for cleaning. Under 18s are only permitted at 12.00.

Food & beverage

The 'La Restinga' restaurant offers an à la carte menu with a wide range of national and international products.

Breakfast is served from 07:00 to 10:30 (Monday to Friday) and from 07:00 to 11:00 on weekends and bank holidays. For those leaving before 07:00, a 'First Coffee' service is available from 05:30 (inform reception in advance if you require this).

Lunch is from 13:30 to 16:00, with dinner available from 20:00 until 23:00.

From 08:00 until 0:00 (or until 01:00 at weekends), the 'Cafe Pompeya' is open to you, located in the hall of the hotel.

Room information

Opened in September 2003, all of the hotel’s accommodation has been carefully designed to provide the ultimate in comfort and relaxation. Each fully-soundproofed room has adjustable reading lamps, a TV with more than 35 channels, a music system with CD player, armchairs and electrical and reclining beds (according to the type of room). Rooms also have a closet with an iron and ironing board.

Non-smoking rooms and spacious family rooms are available.

We enjoyed the availability of the frig in the room with complimentary water, soft drinks, and juice.

We encountered problems with internet access the first two days we were at the hotel. The attendant claimed there was no one available to fix the access problem.

would have liked to be able to pull the curtains fully but was not possible because of the width of the curtains.

Beakfast is included in the price. The beds are very good

Some rooms are "black", for they face a very small inside courtyard, and you cannot open the window... So we changed room

Being central in Madrid, liked the idea of a spa in the hotel, hotel reception was polite and helpful

The fact that the spa was only a concession - not stated on the internet, had reverted to winter hours but this was not explained either on the net or leaflet in the rooms (closed from 4pm Sunday til 12 noon Tuesday - most of the time we were there. Spa receptionist was most rude - making a private call and did not acknowledge us. No staff in the spa and no water fountain for drinks.

the breakfast but one of the staff members was so rude and horrible when i asked for something and when she bought food to my table she might as well have thrown it she was the waitress with very green or blue eyes

it wasnt what i expected but one hotel staff member was excellent his name was Jesus - go figure!

The coffee at the bar and in the breakfast is served cold, they do not know or they do not care that a coffee must be served hot.
